Elior chef Peter Joyner has scooped the Development Chef Award at the annual Craft Guild of Chef Awards, which recognise ‘the tremendous amount of talent that exists within professional British kitchens today’.
With 25 years experience as a chef, Peter brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Elior, playing an instrumental role in the company’s operations.
“Providing a great customer experience is at the centre of everything we do at Elior and it’s fantastic that my part in this has been recognised”, says Peter. “I love my role as it gives me the opportunity to work with Elior’s six development chefs creating new and exciting concepts for our different customers – whether they are in education, stadia, B&I, defence, care and heritage”.
Peter was involved with the marketing team for the development, launch and management of several innovative new programmes and food concepts, such as ChU*, a street food offering, and coffee brand Fontanella.
He joined Elior UK four years ago as Food Development Director and his role has seen him expertly balance the commercial requirements of the business with a perpetual flow of innovative ideas.
40 finalists were shortlisted for 15 awards at the glittering Craft Guild of Chefs Awards ceremony that took place at London's Westminster Plaza Hotel on 2 June.
